What our Me For Myself team has done in Bangladesh since October 2023, from school sessions and training to mentoring and the monthly series.
Me For Myself (M4M) is an international campaign for mental health and well-being. Members of Y-PEER Bangladesh coordinate it in Bangladesh, with a country coordinator and a team of ambassadors.
Here is what the Bangladesh team has done so far:
- November 2023: sessions against bullying and violence for students and teachers, for UNESCO’s International Day Against Bullying and Violence at School.
- March 2024: a Train-the-Trainer session for our ambassadors.
- May 2024: at the closing event of the M4M Ambassador Program (Batch II), one of our members spoke for Bangladesh at the Knowledge Exchange Session, sharing the country team’s experience and progress.
- 2024: members of our team completed the Me For Myself E-course on Mental Health.
- October 2024: a session on “Mental Health in the Digital Age” in the M4M Monthly Series.
- November 2024 to March 2025: the M4M Mentorship Program 1.0. One of our members mentored a team of 10 mentees (Team Soulful Healers) in personal and professional development. Another took part as a mentee, making content on mental health and well-being.
- January 2025: a Monthly Series session on “From Stressed to Best: Techniques for Managing Workplace Pressure”.
- November 2025: a Youth Mental Health & Self-Love session in Dhaka, with BSAN.
Our team members have also led two Monthly Series editions on bullying and violence, where participants compared their perspectives, explored solutions, and later shared insights from the programs they ran. They have facilitated mental health sessions on anti-bullying and violence, social literacy, online harassment and emotional well-being, cyberbullying, and mental health and well-being, and spoken in several other editions of the Monthly Series.
